A Heads Up with Bruno François

With Covid-19 lockdowns worldwide and health authorities urging people to self-isolate and practice social distancing on a massive scale as part of an enormous effort to #FlattenTheCurve of this global pandemic … we are reaching out to industry friends, colleagues, associates, partners, etc., and asking them to share their #StayAtHome and #QuarantineAndChill activities with us during this extraordinary time.

Inspired in self-isolation

Bruno is in charge of developing the Anolis brand on the French market, including sales and specification via a network of partners to sell Anolis products in all regions of France. He is constantly developing and building a strong relationship with specifiers, mostly architectural lighting designers.

Anolis: Where are you right now?

Bruno: In Fontenay-sous-Bois, a few miles away from Paris.

Anolis: What are you doing to fill the time whilst isolating / on lockdown?

Bruno: I’m mostly taking care of my two children, which is close to a full-time job!

Anolis: What’s the most creative thing you’re able to do in isolation?

Bruno: Finally repairing and upgrading an electric guitar that I bought 3 years ago. It’s the third guitar that I have renovated, and I love spending time on this!

Anolis: Are you looking after anyone else during the Covid-19 crisis?

Bruno: My two children (aged 1 and 7). My wife is working at the hospital and school is closed so I look after them.

Anolis: Has anyone inspired you since this started?

Bruno: Everyone who had had to work “as usual” despite the risk of infection.

Anolis: Favourite book / movie / Netflix series / viral video?

Bruno: I finished reading a biography of Iggy Pop – Iggy Pop: Open Up and Bleed” by Paul Trynka – during the lockdown and I can only recommend it. His life is unreal!

I also really liked season 2 of “After Life” by Ricky Gervais. Sad and funny at the same time. If you liked the first season, you’ll love this one!

Anolis: What’s the first thing you’d like to do when we are through it?

Bruno: Go to the seaside and catch some waves.

Anolis: Own question / answer / message of solidarity or something you’d like to say?

Bruno: I’m wondering if we will work differently after this period or if things will go back to how they used to be...
